SYREETA: The Future Sound of ANTS

In the ever-evolving electronic music landscape, SYREETA stands out as a beacon of authenticity. Over her DJ career, SYREETA has carved out a unique space in the scene as undoubtedly one of the most exciting prospects in the world of underground music.

Growing up in Birmingham, England, SYREETA's early focus was on her burgeoning athletics career. She would occasionally attend illegal house raves, but it was only after moving to London that her passion for electronic music was truly ignited.

SYREETA threw herself into the underground music scene of the British capital. She religiously attended Enzo Siragusa's Fuse events on Sundays while developing her burgeoning DJ career in the East London minimal scene. Her involvement in the Equalising Music Campaign in 2017 inspired a broadening of her musical horizons, as she began playing at festivals like Park Life and TRNSMT.

Over the next five years, SYREETA would develop a unique sound while honing her technical DJ ability to create a refined performance that has ignited dancefloors around the world. Her sets are not just performances; they are immersive experiences that reflect her profound understanding of the art of DJing.

While building her DJ career, SYREETA would gig on the weekends while holding down a job as a truck driver during the week. She would make good use of the time alone in the driver's cab, listening to electronic music of all kinds for up to 12 hours a day.

A self-professed lover of basslines, SYREETA's sets are often built around the chunkiest of basslines with energising grooves and the smoothest vocals and samples. These elements make up the signature SYREETA sound, but the versatile artist is impossible to pigeonhole, being as comfortable in warehouse techno as she is in minimal or house grooves.

This versatility has led her to perform for iconic events around the globe including Circo Loco, Creamfields, elrow, Music On, Paradise and many more. Her near effortless command of the dancefloor has secured her residencies for both ANTS and He.She.They.

SYREETA made her ANTS debut at London’s cavernous Printworks in 2022 since then has been a firm favourite with the Colony, becoming a standout new addition to ANTS Invasion lineups later that year. In 2023 she delivered an incredible set at our last dANTS at Printworks and has been a key pillar of our ANTS 10 YEARS STRONG residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza.

2023 has been a pivotal year for SYREETA as she released her debut EP on He.She.They in July. The two-track EP features the sound system-pummeling subby roller, “Renni Bes”. A secret weapon of her DJ sets, the dexterous production never fails to go off on any dancefloor and found early support from Marco Carola and Loco Dice.

The second track “Seek” is a deeper take, in which SYREETA wears her early minimal influences on her sleeve. Coupled with a transcended house vocal, the track is precision-engineered for the dancefloor and the perfect introduction to the gospel of SYREETA.

As an underground favourite with boundless energy and a deep connection to the dancefloor, SYREETA is the perfect encapsulation of the revitalised ANTS sound that will be taking us into the next decade of ANTS.
